The Friday Aural for 6/2/17

Podcast: E and C’s pod of Awesomeness

Episode: Anatomy of a Match: Shawn Michaels vs Mankind – In Your House: Mind Games

Submitted by: Chris Naes (Bacon and Naes)

“This podcast is a breakdown of this great match from 1996. Shawn and Mick go into great detail and give insight into a feigned mess-up during the match that people ask about to this day. Watch the match while you listen!”

Podcast: Radiolab

Episode: Null and Void

Submitted by: Sarah Pickerill (These American Gods, The Watchers on the Couch)

“A really interesting look into jury nullification. This is something you could be arrested for talking about. It starts with a woman that served jury duty and had a conflict of conscience when the rest of the jury wanted to convict the defendant. What happened next was really unusual.”

Podcast: The Aubrey Marcus Podcast

Episode: #98: No More Excuses! 40 Minutes of Fire with Gary Vee

Submitted by: Tim Pickerill (These American Gods, The Watchers on the Couch)

” ‘I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.’ – Bilbo Baggins.

That’s the quote that has been in my head the past couple weeks, as I’ve found myself overcommited on projects and just taking on more than I can reasonably do. To the point where I don’t do anything. Except for obsess over the things I need to do. I’ve been a fan of Gary Vaynerchuk for a few months now. I don’t even remember how I discovered him, but I know I was late to the party. I don’t consider myself an entreprenuer, although who knows what may happen as Onyx Edge Studios continues. But this episode kind of lit that fire under my ass to get moving. No, I didn’t quit my job to podcast full time or anything like that. I opened up that word processor with the ‘in progress’ novel I’ve been working on for the past few years, and commited to finishing it.”
